I started two remixes for Queeley. Very cool stuff. She has a great voice and when her accent creeps in...whew! Looking forward to finishing that this week. Also recording a little demo for Emmett Stang's band. Rehearsing with Woodenbox, got Craig Lewis on the drums. Happy Memorial Day.

Cut piano today on a song James wrote for Daniel. Daniel is an amazing gospel singer from LA. The song is a killer. Could be a gospel standard. Speaking of which, Tye Tribbett and GA's record comes out on June 8th. The release party os on the 9th at the TLA on South Street in Philly. It'll be great. Cut a few more tracks with Anwar Hasan on Monday. His stuff is coming along. I hope to mix it all at Larry Gold's in a few weeks. Looking forward to working with wooden box some more in the coming weeks. Still waiting for my E-Mu to get back from th doctors. Working on my golf game. Yum...

Had a great sit down dinner with the Stairway records team last night. It's great to talk to people outside of the studio. Fun bunch. Many thanks. Rough mixed a few acoustic songs for the group Woodenbox. It's Itomar's band(he's playing guitar in Jenn's band) from Tel Aviv. 5 good songs. They'll have a site up soon, I'll post a link. Also looking forward to digging into a CD by Belljar that is on the way. More on that later..... Christina is having a party here tonight for some of her students and colleagues. We froze enough watermelon for an army of Margaritas. Aww yeah......

Session last night with June Bervine and Clay Sears. They did a track for Carol Riddick. Very nice AC sort of thing. Clay is a very good guitarist. Recruited a new guitar player for Jenn's band. Itomar is his name. Israeli. Good player. Very different style. He uses a capo a lot. Cool guy. It should work out well. I have a new Jungle thing in the works. Lazy Fire(they know not Jah). It's a dubby roller. I've gotta mix it and glue it all together, but it's the heat. Peace.

My beloved E4 Platinum is in Florida at the Doctors office. It crashed and needs repair. My Akai S6000 is still rocking while its friend is away but the studio is not the same with the E-Mu gone. Pray for its speedy return. I wish Bill Hicks was alive too.

Thanks to my Father in law for pointing me to a Smash Up contest sponsored by David Bowie and Audi. Smash Up? It's a remix that uses two or more of an artists songs, I think. They give you the songs to smash. I did more of a remix sorta thing. New beat and harmony. Fun. Now I have to figure out how to create a .WMV or .ram file to upload. Not easy on Mac OS X. The prize is an Audi TT. Sweet.

I heard Emmett Stang's band for the first time on Thursday. Big energy, good songs, real guitar solos. Rock and Roll. Pure and true. Looking forward to seeing them live. Emmett is Jenn Stang's younger brother. Great band. Bass player is Kevin Vecchione. Cool cat. Kevin's website
