After recovering from the Prince concert Chrissy and I have been busy packing up for our move to motown. we'lll be getting on the road on Tuesday for the two day jaunt. Played a great show last night with Woodenbox at the Fire. Great sound guy there. Also worked last night. Mixed and episode of Makeover Story for TLC. It was a long night but enjoyable. Working in the stuido a lot this week. I've got two new Drum and Bass things in the mix. I pulled a track from my music page. I'll repost after remixing. The snare sound sucked. Vroom Vroom.

I was absolutely floored by the Prince concert tonight. He is a master entertainer, brilliant songwriter, and inspirational musician. His band was slammin'. The stage in the round was beautiful. He played about 30 min worth of solo acoustic stuff. He played for maybe 18000 people but he made it feel like 100. This will stick with me. It was a great event.

Woodenbox is playing at the Speakeasy Cafe tonight at around 9PM. Go to the Speakeasy website for directions. It's a fun little pool bar. Cheap drinks! I did another excellent session with Vivian Green last night. She killed the lead on a new song, Under my Skin. Whew! This week has been full of packing up for Detroit! Yum.

Worked on some new bass sounds late this morning. Playing around on the K2000. Amazing synth. Had lunch with Pascal yesterday which was nice. He just finished up a jazz record for Verve. Details to follow. I'll have a few new guiar peices to upload this week. Cinematic themes. Colorful. The Wodenbox gig at the new Grape Street was a success. Does anyone have any interest in me posting photographs here on my site? Maybe from Detroit to keep my Philly crew updated. Hummmmm.

Spent the night working on Anwar Hassan's Stranj Daze project. His beats are amazing. I was sprucing up some percussion and bass parts and mixing a bit. His kind of hip hop sounds great. Looking forward to finishing that up before the move to Detroit. Boom Chik. Another track is also in the works. Stay tuned....

So, Tom Ridge announced on Sunday that the terror alert level was raised to orange for some financial centers in the north east. It was raised in responce to intelligence that named certain buildings as potential targets. Ridge than went on to praise the Bush administration's new intelligence policies and vigilance that was responsible for the information. He than mentioned that the offensive in Iraq was helping us gather this kind of intelligence. What he didn't mention was that these buildings were threatened in terrorist communications THREE YEARS AGO, and there has been no new threats to these buildings since. So why raise the threat level now? Well a week after the DNC the Bush administration needs to pull the news cameras and commentators back to their deeds and campaign. This is a disgusting use of terror as a campaign tool. Greed and Malice, said Herbie, Greed and Malice. Don't forget to vote.

Went to see Th Cure in concert at The Tweeter Center. Great show. Robet Smith is still very depressed, which is odly comforting and makes for a great show. The Muse were great, Interpol and Rapture shoudl give Gang of Four their act back. Played golf all day Saturday and saw Jenn Stang rock Doc Watson's pub. She's getting better with every show. Remember the gigs in August------>>>>>>. Working at Axis and Stairway this week. Still looking forward to getting paid by Philadelphia International for a session cut last year!! Whew!
