Cut 4 songs with Take This Oath. Very heavy. Very happening. Very much enjoyed the session (8PM to 5AM!!!). I look forward to doing the mixes this week. Been rehearsing with Bradley and Ben, going really well. Organizing the material, it will be a very fun record to make. My brother Jon and his Wife Emily were out for a visit this weekend. Felt good to have family around for a few days (even if they did beat us at Cranium : ( ). I’ll be taking the site down for a day this week to upgrade to the new whoop ass version of Pivot. Lots of new features and enhanced security. I’ve got a remix of Dante’s track “Dictator’s Disco” done for his new mixtape. It’s a groovy little re-interpretation. I’ll be focusing on finishing some sound pools for Chris Landau‘s “Flocking Party” this week. I’ve got some ideas organized into Excursions that will interact with the visual elements of his piece. I hop the Kyma has enough DSP to keep up. Might be time to buy some more cards…

Had a ver good session last night with David Lee and his artist “Shiraz”. R+B singer. Dave is a great guy and a lot of fun to work with. I had the pleasure of playing with Bradley Rhodes this morning. We picked out a couple of ideas to develop and plan to play frequently. Dueling guitars. Bradley has a great bluegrass/Virginia/smack down drag out style. It’s a great challenge for me to play with an artist like him. It’ll be a really good record. Elliott Earls sent me a video from the rehearsal on Monday. Click the link over there — >> It’s amazing to be a part of these projects based in such a deeply American form.

Very good rehearsal tonight of Elliott Earls’ project. I’ll have some video to upload soon. Working with David Lee (formerly of Parilament Funkadelic) at Sonic Orchard tomorrow. Really making some progress on my guitar work in the studio. Looking forward to working with Ben Teague, and Bradley Rhodes on some 7” gritty wierdness. I’m looking into podcasting. I’m addicted to Deadwood on HBO OnDemand. My god that show is good. Whoa. My father in law left for an adventure in Vietnam and Cambodia today. Very glad to check in with James Poyser this week. Be on the look out for Carrol Riddick’s record coming soon. It’s all about adventure….
