Had a very nice Thanksgiving. Total of 8 of us. Chrissy and I made an 17lb turkey and all the trimmings. Had a very nice afternoon with some friends from Cranbrook. Cut some more things with Dante. Got in the studio with Bradley Rhodes and some of his crew from Virginia. Mean bluegrass pickers with good taste in hip-hop. Had a good session. I’ll do the mixes ASAP and upload them. I dusted off my snowboards yesterday. Time to get ready for the season. Elliott Earl’s band is almost ready to go. More later.

Damn. After a very nice dinner with Anne and Aaron Hadley, Bradley Rhodes and I played a little guitar. Whoo wee. Freshly roasted peanuts, Old Crow, and the evening breeze. Good things.

Some great music going on. Saw Youssou N’Dour with Fathy Salama’s Cairo orchestra this weekend. Blew me away. They performed selections from the ‘Egypt’ record. Absolutely stunning. The Oudist was incredible. Great Kora player. I’m shopping around for an Oud now. More notes!! Had a very good meeting with Chris Landau about his project. The demo from the Kyma I brought in was well received and we put together some good ideas on how to proceed. It’ll be a score generated by Flash scripts controlled by user input into the pages. Yum. Had another killer rehearsal with Ben and Bradley. We started on some Christmas songs. Trying to get Bradley to sing a twisted version of Jingle Bells won’t be easy. But it will be worth it. Down to Earth was happy with their mixes. I’ll do the mastering tomorrow. And Take This Oath was in the studio to finish the mixes of their Demo. Turned out real good. Taking some time this week to get back in my studio aand start working on Christina’s website.

Had a nice all day session with Down to Earth today. Nick, the singer, reminded me of Toby from Solution AD. Blast from the past. Straining and getting it in. Good songs. Going to see Youssou N’Dour this weekend. He’s touring the Egypt record with a string ensemble from Cairo. It’ll be amazing.
