So last weekend's performance of "The Flocking Party" was a success. It was a lot of fun to use the Kyma live, despite my lapel mic being too quiet. It also showed me the extreme limitations of my basic system. I'll need more DSP cards if I am to play live again. Excuse the orientation of the photo. In the studio quite a bit this week with Jared Gosselin, Golden Age and Lost Elementz. All good things. Hope to have some time this week to get some tracks to David Dworanczyk to start a long overdue project we've been talking about forever. I bought a bunch of Jaz drives off of eBay for my samplers and computer. I got tired of dealing with SCSI to Gear connections. Grrr. Good thing Jaz drives are practically free. Real Real.

Busy times. Looking forward to Chris Landau's "The Flocking Party" opening festivities tomorrow night. I'll be there with my Kyma rig processing the soiree. Those 4 chips will be burnin'! To think I'll be running it off my trusty G3 iBook. Go baby go. For those that are interested head on over to www.theflockingparty.com. The gallery is somewhere in Ann Arbor, MI. I'll have photos and videos ASAP.

Aloha to my Bushman Concert Ukulele. I've started learning chords on it and will have some recordings uploaded ASAP. I'll also be using it on MiddleHill's next record. I looked at some very nice Kamaka Uke's while in Hawaii, but decided to spend less on my first instrument. The Bushman is a real wood Uke made in China. Excellent sound and fit/finish. Saweet.

Chris Landau's www.theflockingparty.com launches today. It's an amazing online production that tells a story set in the not too distant future. I had the honor of designing the timbres for the site, which Chris scripted into a score. It's quite a thing. Check it out.
