Great week. Played an impromptu show with Bradley Rhodes @ Bar 4 in Brooklyn. Just had a great dinner in Jim Thorpe with Tom and Sarah. Rehearsing with Peter Kurie on Sunday. Libby Kanan came to Philly this weekend to check out the situation. I've uploaded a new track, "The Nano Phone" and I've fixed the links to the Christmas record. I've got to start planning the next one. More meetings and writing this week. More to  upload from Middlehill et al.

The world is very old.

(thumbnail)These photos are from an amazing day we spent inside the world's largest functioning pipe organ. It's built into the John Wannamaker building next to city hall here in Philly. Our friend Scott Kip is one of the three people responsible for it's upkeep and partial renovation. It's a 26000 pipe organ controlled by a massive 6 manual keyboard. It's still played everyday at noon and 5PM. Absolutely amazing. There are pipes on the outside of the structure that can be seen by looking up from the groud floor of the Macy's, but those are just a facade so people have something to look at. The real pipes are situated on multiple levels, closed off to the public, seperated by tiny stairs and ladders. Everything was made by hand in a wood shop located in the building. The piano keys you see here are an upright piano that is played by pneumatic hammers controlled by the piano stops at the organs keyboard. The piano is located behind the facade and microphoned and amplified. No MIDI folks, just 12v electric on and off signals throwing magnets and letting air in and out of tiny pneumatic systems made of wood and leather. There's also a remote controlled harp and xylophone. It's a synthesizer that doesn't need to synthesize piano, harp, and xylophone timbres. An immense architectural instrument. A treat to see.

Congrats to Christina's cousin Michael on his wedding to Kristin this past weekend. We had a ball. The spread was intense and beautifully presented. Killer cordials bar. Whoo Waahh.

Had great meetings today with and . SV is a great jammy band from Philly. It'll be a hooot making a record with them in November. Check out the link. Good music. Sick bass lines. Connie is well. Working away, big things on the horizon. My little home studio is functioning. MPC and 1200 by the window. Hmmm.
