The holidays will be a blast. I'm very much looking forward to spending time with family, and as Peter Kurie said, "sort-of eating and drinking in my pajamas for a few days". Anothe rthing worth note is that I'm reading for the 4th time. It's like watching John Carpenter's "Big Trouble in Little China", it gets better every time I experience it. I read a lot of things more than once, but I have a feeling I'll be reading this book again and again for a very long time. The only person I know who even tried to tackle it is my mother-in-law. While Maureen did not finish the book yet, she lets me do dramatic readings from it as a goof at family get togethers. The book is simply something that a man did. A creation. An act. It's "wake up the wife I'm laughing so hard funny", but at the same time one of the few books I cry over. I've stopped asking people I know to read it, so I won't bother with that here, but read it.

In other news, my Christmas tune has been downloaded almost a thousand times in the last few days, which is very gratifying. Even more gratifying is everyone's suprise at the fact that its me singing. Peter and I played @ Fergies on Wednesday night. An evening during which I played and sang a few standards solo. Me. Alone. I really enjoyed it. That was the first time I was left to my own devices on a stage (except of course for performing Triste, Misty, and Lush Life for my neighbors on the stoop). Good things. I hope to be able to do more of that kind of entertaining. I'll be playing my ukulele for the holiday. Watch out.

RIP Ahmet Ertegun. We would not have the music we have today without him.

Looking forward to a few weeks in my studio working on new musics. I had a wonderful rehearsal last week with Peter DiStefano and Craig Lewis. 80s new wave songs. It's great to be playing with them again. Just got off the phone with . His show @ Larissa Goldsten's is scheduled for Febuary 15th. I'd like to encourage all friends in the NYC area to attend. I've got shows with Peter Kurie booked for December 20th @ Fergies Pub here in Philly. The final exam for my Recording Techniques 101 class @ Camden County College is next week. I'd like to encourage all my students to study and have their final projects clearly labeled.I'm enyjoying my Nokia BH-800 bluetooth headset. Though it doesn't stay paired with my Nokia 6600 for very long. It's nice and small though. Nice and small. Nice and small.
